BUD/S Instructor: San Diego, CA
Athletic Coach: Great Lakes, IL

BUD/S Instructor:

T3 is currently accepting resumes to support a current contract. This is a full-time position for immediate hire.

Location: San Diego, CA

Responsibilities:
The Instructor will provide physical and tactical training to include shooting, navigation, diving, communications, and small unit tactics to military personnel. We are seeking prior NSW operators with knowledge of current NSW Tactics, Techniques and Procedures.

The person selected for this position will have daily contact with students and must adhere to the highest standards of conduct in their interface with command personnel. Additionally, the person selected must understand the duties of the Instructors and provide the desired degree of tactical proficiency to accomplish program goals. An exemplary degree of physical fitness is also required.

Employment Standards:

  • Prior NSW experience
  • High fitness Level
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of individual soldiering skills, technique and the ability to implement and teach these skills in a positive and safe manner.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Desirable Experience and Standards:

  • Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualification
  • Completed Navy Instructor Training with an NEC 9502 or service equivalent

 

Physical Training Leader (PTL) with an emphasis on Swimming or Running (Athletic Coach)

T3 is accepting resumes to support a current contract. This is a full-time position for immediate hire.

Location: Great Lakes, IL

Responsibilities:
Prepare military students in: Running, swimming, agility and required physical training. Areas of focus are guidance and application of physical preparedness and training techniques for the BUD/S Physical Screening Test, to include, but not limited to, swim stroke development with and without fins, water confidence, running, and lower and upper body development.

The Physical Training Leader will provide instruction and preparation to students at Naval Station Great Lakes, IL. The person selected for this position will have daily contact with junior sailors. As such, the individual must adhere to the highest standards of conduct in their interface with these sailors, understanding the student/instructor relationship and the Physical Training Leader duties. Additionally, they must provide the experienced, professional, administrative and technical support required to achieve the desired degree of student preparation to accomplish program goals.

The PTL needs to lead by example, maintaining a high degree of personal fitness. One of the primary duties involves administering the Physical Screening Test (PST) to all applicants.

Employment Standards:

  • A.A. or A.S. degree with focus in Health and Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
  • Competitive swimming or running experience from USA-sanctioned Club or College competition team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of sound competitive swimming or running skills, technique and the ability to implement and teach these skills in a positive, healthy manner.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Job requires teaching various blocks of instruction to include: nutrition, supplements, flexibility, and other fitness-related courses.

Desirable Experience and Standards:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree with major in Health and Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field. Willing to substitute preferred degree field for superior experience and past performance.
